In several field experiments on biodynamic farms, research was conducted on the question of how farmers can understand the effect of biodynamic spray preparations on lettuce. Analytical parameters such as yield, nitrate, sugar and dry matter content were meassured

It became evident that the effects of the spray preparations could not be properly understood if the specific conditions pertaining to individual farms were disregarded.

Our years of research have led to the conclusion that the biodynamic spray preparations have a regulative, harmonising function in the farm biosystem. This conclusion is supported by the results of our recent literature survey, which examined publications

The conclusions of this literature survey are summarised in the paper to be presented.
